Most suppliers sell the hardware and leave the rest to you. A Luminex deployment ships as one system: the device, a hardened software image, your applications with the intelligence around them, and a management appliance on your premises, all built and supported by the same engineers.

Hardened ROM

What it is. A signed Android build for your device and nothing else. Your applications are installed as system apps, the setup wizard is suppressed, and kiosk behavior is the default rather than an add-on. Devices ship without consumer app stores; the management agent is the app store.

Applications and intelligence

What it is. Your applications, preloaded on the image and distributed and updated afterwards through the console, silently. Around them, the software that turns a device into a tool: feedback for the person holding it, reporting for the people running it, automation wherever a step can run itself.

Luminex MDM, on your premises

What it is. A management appliance delivered per customer and hosted inside your network. No third-party cloud in the path, TLS everywhere with a certificate authority that belongs to you, and a console built for fleets of locked-down devices. Devices enroll to it out of the box.

Luminex RTLS

What it is. Where each tablet is on the floor plan, worked out from the beacons, access points and charging carts it hears. No extra hardware on the device: the radios it already has do the listening.

What we build in

  • Floor plans per building and floor, with anchors placed where they are
  • Every tablet on the plan, docked, in a room, or moving; click one to open it
  • Coverage drawn from what the tablets actually hear, per access point and beacon
  • Not-heard-for alerts, so a device that walked is noticed before the shift ends

Remote support

What it is. When something needs a second pair of eyes, our engineers reach a device or the management appliance over an encrypted remote-support session, with your authorization, and work through the problem with your team.

How it works

Beyond Android

What it is. Not every fleet is Android. We develop for Windows, macOS and Linux as well, and we make sure the hardware supports the operating system you intend to run: x86 rugged tablets that run Android, Windows or Ubuntu on the same chassis, PoE display panels, signage and kiosks.
